Hygienic wood
A wooden board is the most hygienic of all types of cutting boards. This is because wood naturally possesses antibacterial properties and the ability to reseal any notch caused by a knife, giving bacteria little chance.
Large oak cutting boards
The cutting boards I make are sturdy and spacious enough for all your cutting needs. The sizes range from 30 by 49 cm to 40 by 65 cm. Each cutting board is handmade with care and attention.
Spacious juice chute
A spacious juice chute is milled into the cutting boards so that juices that may run off your meat, fish, fruits or vegetables are all collected. The chutes are easy to clean afterwards due to the spacious corner compartment.
Sustainable
Much of the wood I use is circular and preferably sourced locally. So a Boss Boards cutting board may well have been a discarded oak table or floor first. My wood even gets a third life because I take the sawdust to farmers or riding stables.
Maintenance
The plank is coated with two deeply penetrated coats of maintenance oil during manufacture. However, in order to keep the board dirt-repellent and water-resistant, it must be regularly re-oiled or waxed. Depending on usage, once a month is advisable.
